# 029 new website look

i cleaned it up and made it yellow, for obvious reasons.

took about 60 minutes to get to work on my bike. i expect i can take about 15 mins off that number. about the same time i take on my car on an average day out. total savings are about 100€ a month (CO2 savings not computed). all small things count right now.

i computed the cereal + milk budget. we are drinking 6L of milk PER DAY plus about 500gr of boxed cereal. that's almost 200€ a month on breakfast! i've been budgeting the consumption of certain goods and i have to say it is a bit over the top. for example, any amount of beer will be drank within a 24 hour period. that means that if i were to keep the surplus of booze like i did in my other place, we'd end up with a total expense of over 150€ a month! same thing with food. between one or two chicken a day, about 10Kg of potato a week. we're talking big quantities of food that, if designed for surplus to avoid conflict, mean a HUGE food budget. it also means that this building will not be sustainable in terms of food. the current economy is highly unbalanced, but that was a premise of the whole thing. most other guests can, at times, provide from dd'ing, but most of the time not so much. right now, it is a major expense to keep everyone fed. i might resort to the usual techniques: home made bread, cheap meat and veggies, a lot of spice and the cheapest beer around.

also, electricity brought turf wars for loud music. but that's nothing i'm not used to. it just means earplugs again. industrial grade.

i was hoping to fix the plumbing yesterday but spent the day in bed instead. i'll try one of these days.

also, it's S's birthday. i'll try to provide booze. i'm curious to see what kind of crowd we'll have.
