17.04.2010 a faulty extension cord caused a small fire. i fixed it by making a special socket only for the fridge. having so much power in so many different sockets led to what i think was just a current surge and a spark between phase and ground pins, leading to the extension burning down. obviously, i'm glad no one used water on it, and some people were planning on doing that. the free shop is turning out great, mostly A's work. P and M also found massive quantities of vintage old-lady-like clothing. we think an old lady must've died and someone cleared out the whole house. we now have more clothes than we can handle. me an T started the green roof, a small portion only. it involves heavy work, and we'll need many more hours until we have a small chunk to start permaculture. slowly progressing, as always. for a wheelbarrow, we're using an old lidl cart with a cardboard lining. it's been working out fine.

18.04.2010 the yellow room is almost ready and should be up today. our sewing machine is sick, so we're planning on getting everyone together and buying one. some kids came by. one of them had a flare gun, and what started stormy ended as beers and hanging out. they are just your average guetto kids that used to go to that building with their girls, smoke pot and have sex. we explained the project and they seemed interested, though mostly they are more into sports. we said they could set up their own extreme sports space out back. they also told us about an old tank where old people used to do gymnastics. this means that in the summer we might have a good spot to go swimming.
