yellow room is up, the blood splatter really adds something to it. (something ugly).

the new metal door is great. light and strong, and the place is much more secure since pedro and joao boarded up the front windows with some more sheet metal.

the water issues are sorted, hopefully this is the end of rio freeshopio.

freeshop is overflowing (with clothes now, not water) and ready to go. lots of nice grandma stuff now thanks to pedro and maura's awesome find.

the meeting space on level four could be prettied up a bit, but it's functional.

one of the guys from associação internacional dos trabalhadores (secção portuguesa) is coming by either today or tomorrow to meet us and check out the squat. they're interested in hosting some talks on the 2nd may about the international worker's movement to tie in with the may day parade on the 1st. if it all goes ahead, i'll be making some flyers to advertise the talks, and distributing them at the parade with pedro, omar and maura.

our friend dennis is stranded in canada with the volcano, but once he gets back he is going to come around for another lecture night - he'll be talking about the great wall of china.

i've written to a bunch of political zines and periodicals requesting subscriptions for the squat. still waiting to hear back.

it will be good to get internet back in the squat, hopefully next month. i'd like to have a film night and show 'the potentiality of storming heaven'. it was made by one of the big squats in athens after the death of alexis grigoropoulos and explains their ideology and what it is that they're fighting for. im working on getting a portuguese translation now.

ok maybe a little dramatic. but i was frustrated at the slowing down of things and the mindless bullshit that's going on.

in a better mood today. made 50€ just smiling and talking with people for a couple of hours. hell yeah boobs :)
